New Look At Fitness
HI! And welcome to Design for Fitness.
I have designed this website to lead you to a new look at fitness that doesn’t rely on commonly held beliefs about how fitness is done.
You will learn more about yourself and your relationship with nutrition and fitness. End result? Finding movement and fitness that is accessible, fun, and truly fits YOU! Also, why most diets fail and what you can do about it. Find out what is practical and leads to a healthier lifestyle for you.
Everything presented is based on research, my academic experience, coaching, real life, and a variety of other respected sources. My goal is to keep it fun, informative, and impeccably researched. No fads here. I want you to feel confident about what you are learning, so that you can feel confident about what you are doing.
Here’s what you will find on my Design for Fitness:
Nutrition and Fitness Coaching
I have teamed up with Precision Nutrition to bring you comprehensive coaching programs for nutrition and fitness. Both programs have been proven time and again (actually over 100,000 times) to be effective for establishing life-long habits that get you to your health and fitness goals. It is all based on solid science that has been thoroughly researched and tested. This is not a quick fix that fades over time and leaves you feeling frustrated.

Free Video Exercise Library
Need some quick exercises to get you going? Or, that you can slip into your day when you don’t have much time? Check out the exercises and workouts in the Library. Instead of giving you tons of random exercises that leave you guessing what to do with them, each exercise and workout is defined and explained. Check It Out Here.
AND I am busy writing two books.
One book is for all of you who have been told (possibly more than once) by your doctor to “lose weight” and “exercise more”. This will be a short guide for why and how to do that. More often than not, doctors do not have the time or expertise to give you guidance on those things. This will be a quick and easy “Owner’s Manual” for anyone with a body.
Another book is a broader reaching resource covering what it truly takes to create a new health habit. Most specifically, the fitness habit. (HINT: it isn’t just a matter of doing something for 21 days.) So often people jump into a new endeavor hoping it will be “the one” that really works for them. Many choices are fed by advertising, the media, and even fitness facilities themselves. These may not be the right thing for you. This book will help readers apply discernment, find enthusiasm, and make educated lifestyle choices related to movement and exercise.
